All About Church@Work Course

Church@Work Course

This is a PowerPoint self-paced short course to help people who participate in Church@Work (especially newcomers) to be familiar with the structure and function of Church@Work. It is also very useful for people who want to start a new Church@Work.

Church@Work congregations multiply by "amoebic replication" - to multiply, we divide. It is important for all congregational members to be familiar with how the Church@Work functions so that they are not afraid of change, see the possibilities and expectations for Church@Work participants, and are prepared for the dynamics of daily Church@Work practices. This course helps provide a high degree of comfort for people involved with the program and how it interfaces with the overall workplace rules and practices.

Many Church@Work participants are in mobile careers and move from company to company and region to region. This course is intended to help those who have had to move to establish a new congregation at their new job. In addition, some relatives of Church@Work members see the radical changes in their lives and want to know how to start one in their workplace. The use of this course has greatly contributed to the growth of the Church@Work program from only 2 congregations in 2002 to hundreds today in over 3 dozen states and a number of countries internationally.

The course can also be used as a briefing for workplace supervisors so that they understand what Church@Work is and how it functions.

Church@Work participants will also be interested in the other self-paced course resources on this site.
